Get Serious About Selling Your Art in 2017

The Carbon County Art League's January 11, 2017 meeting will feature a discussion and presentation about selling your original artwork and prints. It's time to get serious about selling your art.

Don't just clutter your studio and home with painting upon painting. It may have started as a hobby but you have talent that you should share with others. It's time to create space so you can keep on making new pieces of art.

The presentation and discussion will be led by local artist Sarah Binder. Sarah Binder works full time in marketing for a local business and operates her own jewelry business on the side retailing and wholesaling her handmade copper jewelry. Sarah specializes in digital marketing and social media. Her education includes a Bachelors or Science in Business Administration and Marketing and a Bachelors in Art focusing in studio art/metalsmithing from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. She further pursued her education and obtained her MBA from Ashford University.

Selling your original artwork is a key part to turning a hobby into a business. At minimum selling your artwork puts some money back into your pocket for more materials so you can keep on creating.

Join the discussion to learn the modern trends in marketing that can be applied to selling your art. This presentation will cover the basics including Facebook, websites and exhibiting your art.

Join the Carbon County Art League to take advantage of member benefits including your artist biography and a link to your online gallery.
